Our clients recently purchased a brand new home & while the builder had provided front yard landscaping, their back yard was a blank canvas. The yard was a smaller space but our clients had big ideas for it. They wanted a garden that would offer spaces for cooking, entertaining, relaxation & be as maintenance free as possible.
We began by constructing an outdoor kitchen for the space. Our clients did not need anything to big or it would dominate the yard. We created a simple but beautiful outdoor kitchen with a commercial grill & plenty of bar space for guests. After the outdoor kitchen, we added a custom outdoor fire pit for our clients to enjoy with guests. It added not only the attractive element of fire but also architectural seating for the space. Next, we created a beautiful patio space using Belgard pavers. The unique coloring & pattern of the pavers created a one-of-a-kind look to the patio space.
Finally we addressed the landscaping itself. We added a stunning raised planter for seating & to accommodate a massive, specimen Oak tree. We also used artificial turf for the landscape design to dramatically reduce maintenance & water-usage. For the planting palette we used hedges to screen the harsh vinyl fence views, Red Japanese Maples to take advantage of the shady exposure & trellises of Star Jasmine to accent the home’s stucco. We even added one of our Bali fountains to fill the space with the relaxing sound of water.
