Our client had always been frustrated with the look of her yard. She explained to our designers that regardless of what she planted, it either died or simply struggled to live. Also, due to the new drought restrictions, she mentioned that her lawn was gradually deteriorating. She desperately wanted a garden design that would be drought-tolerant & beautiful.
We began by completely removing the entire lawn thatch & the suffering plants. Next, we developed a stunning dry creek bed design that meanders through the landscape & terminates at two specimen Crape Myrtle trees. Large boulders, hand stones, cobblestones & small river stone create a medley of stone textures within the creek bed.
Next, we created a planting palette of blooming plants & shrubs that offer a bouquet of varying colors & textures. Splashes of red, yellow, & orange fill the garden design & blooming Salvias, Lavender, & Jasmine fill the space with a lovely aroma.
